CCS1/2 to CHAdeMO DC Adapter - 250A - 1000V

It just works

Just tried my first CCS1 charge. No error messages, nothing. Neither the station nor the car seem to be any wiser. Charging current seems to be exactly the same as without the adapter. It was actually more seamless than the native CHAdeMO experience, since that seems to be neglected by charging stations these days and throw all sorts of errors. Not an issue here.

The adapter is not small, nor it can be, considering CHAdeMO is huge and CCS is not too far behind. But it seems hefty and well built. I had some concerns about hanging the CCS connector from the charging port, but there's no flex whatsoever.

It doesn't even get warm after a 30 min session.

Note: the adapter needs a 18650 cell, it doesn't come with the package. No big deal, but make sure you have one handy if you need to hit the ground running when the adapter arrives. I actually like this design feature as it won't be obsolete when the internal battery dies, just get a new one.

Overall, I'm pretty happy. The last CHAdeMO station near me was replaced with CCS, the closest is 10 miles away. CCS is everywhere around here, however.

Leafs are now able to charge anywhere any other EV can. Outstanding

I agree with 2 other reviews. I had to plug the adapter into my Leaf, press the power button and then plug the CCS charger into the adapter. Following the manual did not work at this charger. It makes sense that the charger wants to see a live connection when it is connected.B

CCS1 to Chademo

The CCS1 to Chademo worked right out of the box on all chargers in my area. it is nice to know that my leaf is kind of future proof now. The first time I charged i got some stares from other EV owners and one asked what is that. over all a solid buy!

It works on most stations, have a backup plan and patience

I've now tried it at about 4-5 different networks and so far the only machine I can't get it to pair with are the ones operated by Shell here in Seattle. I've had no problems with Chargepoint, Electrify America or BP Pulse. I'm semi-confident to travel wherever I want now. Also, the instruction guide needs to be expanded and more professionally done. Considering the price, more effort would be expected. Don't forget to charge your adapters battery before the first use using the USB cord!
