Works with EVgo, but can be a little bit finicky

The CHAdeMO/CCS1 adapter has been working on EVgo CCS1 chargers for me so far, but I have found the process to be a little bit finicky.

For each charging session that I have tried, the first attempt has always failed at step 2, where the EVgo system checks the cable–generally immediately after the car beeps and starts it's charging procedure. However, I have been able to immediately restart the process and complete my charging on the second attempt each session.

The only other issue that I've encountered is that after I have completed charging, stopped the charging process on the EVgo panel, and disconnected my cable and adapter, my Nissan Leaf will have a system error message when I start the vehicle. However, if I stop the car and restart it, the error message clears. I believe it is a communications error message related to the charger, but it does not seem to be impacting the vehicle otherwise.

I have not tried charging on other networks than EVgo yet, but I'm optimistic this adapter will work as a backup option should I not have native CHAdeMO available. I also picked up the Typhoon adapter, but I have not tried charging at a Supercharger station yet. I'll post a review on the adapter after I've given that a shot.

First try

Used ccs1 to chademo on a 180kW charger. Started at 72 kW, reached 85% after 35min, from 35%. Happy with the result.

Love this device!

Works like a charm! Allows me to charge in more places and faster than I can with CHADmo

Unsuccessful CCs1 to CHAdeMO adapter first try

I tried my A2Z adapter at an EVGO station. Plugged the adapter into the Leaf CHAdeMO , then the charging station cable to the adapter. I turned on the adapter and followed the charging station instructions.
The station accepted my credit card. The station displayed successively "checking wires", then checking voltage ' and some other stuff, and then it connected, displaying the usual parameters like kw, kwh, % battery, etc.. Then instead of charging, it turned off.
Other customers were charging successfully at CCSA and CHAdeMO adjacent stations.
I tried another charger at the same location, same unsuccessful result.
I will go back tomorrow to another station like Charge Point or such and try it again.
If it works, I will report and change my rating,
