Please note that third-party adapters, including our NACS-CCS1 adapter, are not currently officially authorized for use on Tesla® Superchargers™. Ensure your vehicle brand has access to the network before purchasing. This adapter is also compatible with 3rd party NACS DC chargers such as ChargePoint and EVgo.

The top locking mechanism (CCS1 latch) controls through a set of springs the NACS side locking pin. If the adapter is locked by the charge port's locking mechanism, the NACS connector can't be removed from the adapter.

For added safety, the A2Z Typhoon Plug incorporates two temperature sensor switches. The first sensor derates the charging process upon reaching a certain temperature, while the second sensor halts charging, the temperature are strategically placed within the adapter. Charging can resume once the temperature normalizes and the adapter is reconnected. It's worth noting that during real-life testing, thermal shutdown was never reached.

I use this adapter during when doing rideshare work. This adapter has made charging my EV so much easier because it eases my ability to charge my car at more locations and Tesla Superchargers are most of the time closer than EVgo or EA. I no longer have to look for a charger due to congestion. Plenty of superchargers to go around and in spots where I can grab a bite to eat while my car charges up. Works great and never failed.

The new A2Z adaptor does NOT work more than 5 min.
I finally got the chance to use this adapter, as my vehicle was recently added to the Supercharger network.
It worked as advertised, is solidly built and I know it’s safe due to being over engineered to high amperage.
Having the adapter greatly reduced our range anxiety as the Tesla superchargers were the primary recharging locations. Our biggest problem was the V3 locations that were awkward to position correctly to connect but fortunately all of the locations we stopped at were not that busy and taking up 2 spots was not an issue. The one Tesla V4 near Dayton OH would not charge both on trip down and back althogh other CCS vehicles were able to charge based on feedback on Plug Share. This got me so flustered that on the trip home I left the adapter on the hood when disconnecting and of course it fell off on the highway and was destroyed (a brutal torture test) and of course resulted in my replacement order .
All and all it was a successful trip requiring about 12 charging stops each way and doubt i would attempt this again without the adapter.
