Just as advertised

NACS Extension Cord Goes The Distance

I recently traded in my 2016 Tesla Model X for a 2025 Rivian R1S. My wife and I share a two-car garage and I back in while she pulls in, so both our driver's doors open into the center of the garage for the most clearance. My Tesla charging point is on the wall near the passenger rear when I'm parked.

This worked fine with my X as the cable only needed to pass across behind to connect the NACS port on the driver's rear. However, the Rivian's charge port is on the driver's front, which was too far for the cable to reach. I initially ordered an A2Z Stellar Plug NACS-to-J1772 adapter, which works great, and tried pulling in. But this didn't leave much clearance for the driver's door to open before hitting the wall, so I picked up this extension cable.

Now I'm using the extension cable to extend the reach to the charge port while backed in, with the Stellar Plug on the end to connect to the J1772 port. It works great. No reduction in charging speeds.

Nice quality; can’t use it yet.

I wanted to use this as an extension from a Tesla universal wall charger to a F150 Lightning, hoping to use the Tesla J1772 adapter from the wall charger - but it would not detach from the Tesla cord. So now I have ordered an adapter from A2Z - hopefully that will work.
